Power Point Vocabulary #3
- animated object- are pictures/text boxes/graphics that appear one at a time rather than all at once.
- animated text- displays on a slide one line at a time during a slide show.
- animation- sound or a visual effect that you can add to text/objects in a presentation.
- bit-mapped image (bitmap) are made ffrom a series of small dots and may have a .bmp, .png, .jpg, or .gif file extension.
- embed- to insert a chart or text among other text/charts/pictures.
- footer-A line of text that appears at the botton of each page in a file, containing inforamtion such as the document's name. a page number, or the date.
- header-A line of text that appears at the top of each page in a file, containing information such as the documents name, a page number, or the date
- link- a table with a destination file.
- slide master- a slide that is hidden with stored design.
- title master-A hidden slide in every powerpoint presemtation that stores design template specifcations- such as place holders sizes and position, font styles and sizes, and background color-for anyslide that uses the title slide layout
- transition- is the method by which one slide replaces another during a presentation.

pg.489-493 New Employee Orientation Summary
I learned how to choose a template, and I also learned how to rearrange data and move it from slide to slide. Thats basically it!
pg486-488, General Org Info. Summary
I learned how to adjust the size of the slides and I learned how to switch the color to grayscale. As well I learned how to change the printout form to handouts so that I could screenshot it.
pg483-484, Membership Information Summary
I learned how to create a proper background and add slides. Also I learned how to insert slides between each other and delete unecessary slides.
pg479-482, MarketingNARCE Summary
I learned how to switch from the different views in powerpoint. I also learned that you can press up to go to the previous slide, or you can press down to go to the next slide. You can either expand or close the outline tab by clicking on the slides.

Power Point Vocabulary
- Presentation- is a formal or informal report, usually given orally, sometimes called a speech or a talk.
- Thumbnails- They are a small sized views of slides.
- Splitter bars- Horizontial or vertical bars that separate the left, slide, and notes panes in normal view.
- Title Slide- The first slide in the presentation.
- Title- Main Topic of any slide
- Placeholder- A preset location reserving space for a slide element.
- Title Area- A placeholder for the slide's title.
- Text Area- A placeholder for a subtitle or a numbered or bulleted list.
- Object Area- is reserved for objects.
- Rich Text Format- A file format with the extension .rtf that enables text to be transferred and read by different applications.
- AutoContent Wizard- A tool to help you create a presentation easily with preprogrammed text/layouts/designs
- Boilerplate text- your slides can be automatically prepared for you which is standard text that is appropriate for that type of presentation.

I learned that there are many different ways to view your slides. Also I learned that you could adjust the size of the slides. I didn't know how to use the page up and page down buttons to get to the previous or following pages. I remembered that you could use the outline tab on the side to view your presentation as an outline.
